1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, including your name, email address, and payment information. When you connect your YouTube channel through Google's OAuth system, you grant Clipsly permission to upload videos to your channel (youtube.upload) and to view your YouTube account information (youtube.readonly) — including your channel details, videos, playlists, subscriptions, and channel statistics. We also collect usage data about how you interact with the Clipsly platform. As part of running the platform, we and our service providers also save and read small pieces of data on your device — see 'Cookies and Local Storage' below.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the Clipsly service, process payments, publish videos to your connected YouTube channel, send service-related communications, and respond to your support requests. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. YouTube API Services & Google User Data

Clipsly uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Clipsly's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our collection and use of your information is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy. We use Stripe for payment processing and standard cloud infrastructure providers for hosting. All third parties are contractually required to protect your data.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

When you use Clipsly, we and the providers who help us run the service place small pieces of data on your device and read them back later. We do this through browser cookies and your browser's local storage. We rely on them to keep you signed in, to hold onto your current session and selected workspace, to remember interface choices you've made, to keep the service secure against abuse, and to complete payments through our payment provider. We don't use any of this to advertise to you or to build advertising profiles. You're free to clear or block this data in your browser settings — just note that signing in won't work if you block the pieces that are strictly necessary to run the app.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 30 days and then deleted, unless legal obligations require longer retention. Generated video content is not retained by Clipsly after successful publishing.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may disconnect your YouTube channel from Clipsly at any time through your account settings, or revoke Clipsly's access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To request data deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at support@clipsly.org.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. Your YouTube credentials are stored using OAuth tokens, not plain-text passwords. We regularly review and update our security practices.
